AIM: Call on God, knowing he will respond.

A) God's help is all powerful, everlasting and benefits us immediately when we call on Him
Isaiah 40:28-29, 31 You can know the Lord, the everlasting God, Creator God his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases power to the weak, to those who hope in the Lord. Will soar on wings like eagles.

Philippians 3:13-14 Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, press on toward the goal, the heavenly prize for which God through Jesus Christ is calling us

Psalm 86:5-7 O Lord, you are good, ready to forgive, full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. I call when I'm in trouble and you answer me.

B) God's help is corrective and brings peace to our heart, mind and life
Psalm 119:67-68 I used to wander off until you disciplined me, but now I closely follow your word; you are good and only do good, teach me your decrees

Hebrews 12:11-14; Discipline is painful but produces peace, right living by it's training. I'll help others not to fall as I did, living in peace with everyone.

Psalm 92:12-15 Godly will flourish, like trees transplanted to the Lord's house - producing fruit in old age.

Psalm 94:12-14 Joyful are those disciplined by the Lord, taught by His instruction, given relief in troubled times - not rejected or abandoned.

C) Having received God's corrective help we now live a life of light and hope for God
Ephesians 4:15-16 We speak the truth in love, growing more like Christ as His church united together healthy and full of love.

Proverbs 28:13,25 Concealing sins doesn't prosper, confession and repentance brings mercy. Greed causes fighting, trusting in the Lord leads to prosperity.

Jonah 2:7-9 As my life was slipping away I remembered the Lord, and my earnest prayer went out to Him. Worshiping false gods, turns our backs on God's mercies - But I will offer sacrifices with songs of praise, fulfill my vows. For my salvation comes from the Lord alone.
