Jesus fulfilled specific prophecies of God's salvation

Jesus is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). He fulfilled specific prophecies concerning how God would save through his lifedeath and resurrection (John 3:16-17;Matthew 20:19;28:5-6).  He's fulfilled prophecies about people's indifferent reaction (John 3:18-21) and life giving power of the Holy Spirit benefiting all of mankind (Joel 2:28-29) for those who call on his name (Joel 2:32). Daniel 9:24 summarizes Jesus' ministry very well; He put an end to sin, atoned for our guilt, brought everlasting righteousness, confirmed the prophetic vision and anointed the Most Holy Place - Yet we was killed appearing to have accomplished nothing (Daniel 9:26).  Even so, every believer who puts there trust in Jesus work on the cross for their eternal salvation from the wrath of God (Romans 5:9;1 Thessalonians 1:10 knows that Jesus' promise of sending his Holy Spirit is true (John 14; Romans 8:16).

God's people are called, chosen and faithful
  • Jesus the Son of God calls us (John 1:12-13;10:3-5;Romans 8:30)
  • Father God chose us (Ephesians 1:4,7,11)
  • We respond faithfully because of his faithfulness (Matthew 28:19;2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 2:6-10)
  • The Father and Son has secured us (John 10:27-29)
  • The Holy Spirit lives in us, enables us to live in victory of Jesus (John 14:15-17;2 Corinthians 3:18;Ephesians 1:13-14)
