Critical path for Christians: hear the word, have faith

Project Managers are tuned into seeing the critical path. The critical path are the things that require management attention as they are the sequence of activities that have the longest duration to completion. In other words there isn't room for do-overs or error. In the Christian faith we can see from Romans 10, that faith comes from hearing the word about Christ. I've include a few of my favorite words about Christ that I hope will build your faith when you hear them.

What does Jesus expect from his followers? It's in the Bible, here's the commands set apart for your convenience.
(Matthew 7:1-2) Don’t judge others, you will be judged as you judge others (John 8:7) In other words recognize you are not without sin

(Matthew 7:6) Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy

(Matthew 7:7) Keep asking to receive, keep seeking to find, keep knocking and the door will be opened to you

(Matthew 25:34-36) Feed the hungry, give water to thirsty, give clothing to naked, care for the sick, visit the imprisoned

(Matthew 7:13-14) Enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate, it is difficult and only a few find it. Enter hell through the wide gate, many choose that way.

(Matthew 7:15) Beware of false prophets, disguised as harmless sheep but really are vicious wolves

(Matthew 10:1) Jesus gives authority to cast out evil spirits and heal every kind of disease and illness (Matthew 10:8) He commands to heal the sick, raise the dead, cure leprosy, cast out demons – give freely as you have received!

(Matthew 18:10) don’t look down on children (Matthew 23:8-12) we are all equal under Christ but the greatest must be the servant, be humble

(Matthew 18:15-17) Privately point out sins to other believers, then bring in others, then the church – if they don’t accept church’s decision treat them as unbelievers

(Mark 9:38-40) Don’t stop people performing miracles in the name of Jesus

(Mark 11:22-24) Have faith in God, without doubt in your heart – pray for anything, believing you’ve received it

(Luke 10:30-35) Have compassion on people who despise you, even at great cost and inconvenience.
(John 15:12) Love each other in the same way Jesus has loved you

(Luke 22:19-20) Give thanks to God for meals, remember Jesus body and the cup of covenant between God and his people – agreement confirmed with his blood, poured out as a sacrifice for you

(John 13:14) Wash each other’s feet

(Luke 6: 35-36) Love your enemies, do good to them, with compassion - lend without expecting to be repaid, act as children of the Most High – he is kind to the unthankful and wicked.

(Matthew 28:19-20) Make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in God’s name. Teach them to obey all these commands (John 14:15) with an attitude of love for Jesus.

(Luke 12:40) Be ready for Christ to return at any time
