God promises to help me obtain the promises

Psalm 119:145-148; 1 John 5:14-15; 2 Peter 1:4-8; Exodus 15:26; Hebrews 11:1,6; Joshua 1:7-9; Romans 4:16; Galatians 3:26-29; Matthew 6:33-34

Psalm 119:145-148 I will pray with all my heart, cry out to you for help that I may obey your decrees and laws. Putting my hope in your words

1 John 5:14-15 I'm confident that God hears me when I ask for things that please him, since he hears me, he will give me what I ask for

2 Peter 1:4-8 Because of his glory and excellence, he gave us these great promises to enable me to share in his divine nature, escaping the world's corruption caused by human desires. In view of all this;
 - I'll make every effort to respond to God's promises
 - I'll add to my faith, moral excellence
 - I'll add to moral excellence knowledge
 - I'll add to knowledge self-control
 - I'll add to self-control patient endurance
 - I'll add to patient endurance godliness
 - I'll add to godliness brotherly affection
and to brotherly affection love for everyone
So in growing like this I'l be more productive and useful rather than ineffective and unproductive in my knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Exodus 15:26 I know that when I listen carefully to the voice of the Lord my God AND do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping his decrees then I will not suffer the diseases suffered by the Egyptians; God is the Lord who heals me.
Hypocrites may show high affections, and appear earnest in religious exercises, but in the time of temptation they fall away. Even true believers, in seasons of sharp trial, will be tempted to fret, distrust, and murmur. But in every trial we should cast our care upon the Lord, and pour out our hearts before him. We shall then find that a submissive will, a peaceful conscience, and the comforts of the Holy Ghost, will render the bitterest trial tolerable, yea, pleasant. Moses did what the people had neglected to do; he cried unto the Lord. And God provided graciously for them. He directed Moses to a tree which he cast into the waters, when, at once, they were made sweet. - Matthew Henry on Exodus 15:22-27
Hebrews 11:1,6 Faith is confidence that what we hope for will actually happen, assurance about things we cannot see, we can't please God without faith because we must believe that God exists and he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

Joshua 1:7-9 I will be strong and courageous, careful to obey everything Moses taught, studying the Bible for instruction continually - meditate on it day and night so I will be sure to obey everything in it. I will be strong and courageous, not afraid or discouraged for the Lord my God is with me wherever I go.

Romans 4:16 The promise is received by faith, given freely by God's grace to us - not by following the law but by believing as Abraham did.

Galatians 3:26-29 I'm a child of God through faith in Jesus Christ, united in Christ in baptism having put on Christ like new clothes. I'm his and God's promise belongs to me.

Matthew 6:33-34 I"ll seek the Kingdom of God above all else, live righteously and he will give me everything I need. I will not worry about tomorrow just today.
