Jesus exposes sin teaching freedom believing his light and truth

AIM: Sin and death is overcome by disciples of Jesus
A) Jesus teaches all have sinned with the woman caught in adultery

Application: where am I judging others "to death" when I should be repenting from my own sins?

B) Jesus teaches about light of life and freedom of obedience to him
(12) Jesus, "I am light of world, followers never dark, light of life"
(13-18) Pharisees challenged testimony, Jesus answered my Father witness, sent me
(19-20) "where's father?", "know me, know my Father" Jesus teaching temple courts near offerings | not seized, hour had not come
(21-23) "I'm going, you'll look but die in sin, you can't come, of world I'm of heaven
(24-26) Die in sin if you don't believe that I am he, from beginning, judgement, trustworthy from God tell the world
(27-30) didn't understand Father, Jesus "Lifted up Son of Man you'll know I am he, God sent - many believed
(31-32) to believers, Jesus said hold my teaching, then disciple, then know truth, then truth sets you free
Principle: Truth that sets you free progresses from obedient faith
Application: How do I stay in the light and continue in repentance daily? Where am I prone to deception and unbelief? 

C) Jesus clarifies slavery to sin, that Abraham rejoiced in God's promise fulfilled in Jesus
(33-40) Abraham's descendants, not slaves - Jesus "slave to sin", "no room for my word", trying to kill me not like Abraham
(41-44) belong to devil, do his works/desires/lies, if God were your father you'd love me, you can't hear me, 
(45-47) belong to God, believe Jesus - hear what God says
(48-51) "Samaritan, demon-possessed", no honor Father, he is judge, obey my word never see death
(52-55) "Demon-possessed, Abraham died, prophets died, anyone obey's you lives?" "My Father, your God glorifies me - I obey him"
(56-59) Abraham rejoiced seeing my day, before Abraham I am - they tried stone, slipped away
