Justice That Responds (I was in prison and you visited Me - Matthew 25:36)

Memory Verse:
The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love. —Psalm 33:5

Humility is a lightning rod for God's grace. God is attracted to a humble person. God is gracious to the humble but opposes the proud. -Dobbs

Jesus in prison is visited by good and faithful servants - Matthew 25:36,23, ignored by wicked and lazy Matthew 25:26,43
 - James 1:27 | Help the family of those missing, in distress
 - James 2:14-16 | Do something to help physical distress, not just words or belief
 - Isaiah 58:7 | Share your life with poor and distress people
 - Ezekiel 18:7,16 |  Don't oppress, return your pledge to the debtor
 - 2 Tim 1:16 | Not ashamed of prisoners
 - Hebrews 13:3 | Remember those in prison as if you were bound with them, and those who are mistreated as if you were suffering with them.

What’s one idea or concept from our last meeting that stuck with you during the week?
 - Everyone in our group had a close family member who had been incarcerated for at least 24 hours.

How do you think most people view those who are incarcerated? What assumptions do you think they make?
 - Guilty of crime deserving punishment
