AIM: Worship God in Spirit and Truth
A) Door to heaven is opened for John’s Spirit to see the Holy of Holies
(4:1) door open heaven, trumpet voice “come I’ll show you must happen after this”
(2) In the Spirit, throne in heaven, someone sitting on it
(3) brilliant as gemstones, jasper, carnelian, glow emerald circled like rainbow
Application: How can my Spirit comprehend the glory of God in worship and prayer?
B) 24 elders with white coats and crowns and 4 living beings worship God day and night
(4) 24 throne & elders s surrounded him, clothed in white, gold crowns
(5) from throne flashes of lightning, rumble thunder in front 7 torches, flames, sevenfold Spirit of God
(6) shiny sea of glass, like crystal, center, around throne four living beings covered with eyes 1) like a lion 2) like an ox 3) had human face 4) like an eagle in flight
(8) each had six wings, covered all over with eyes inside and out, day after day, night after night “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty – the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come.”
(9) Whenever the living beings give glory and honor and thanks to the Eternal one on the throne
(10) 24 elders fall down and worship one on the throne, lay crowns before the throne and say
(11) you are worthy O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things and they exist because you created what you pleased
