AIM: a life that honors God, impacts the world with his provision and word
A) God protects Daniel with wisdom, talent and relationships in Babylon
Judah falls to Bablylon, Daniel is trained into king’s service
God gives Nebuchadnezzar dreams but Daniel receives dreams and meaning
Daniel's friends choose God over worshiping statue or dying in furnace
Nebuchadnezzar tells everyone about how God humbled him
King Belshazzar’s self-inflicted ignorance of God ruins his life
Darius proclaims to the world, “God saved Daniel from lions”
Application: How am I using God given talents in the work that's been given to me? Do I respectfully speak God's truth to people and choose God above all else?

B) God gives Daniel prophetic revelation of events leading to the end of time
Daniel dreams of four kingdoms leading to God’s final judgement
Daniel sees end of time and Gabriel explains its meaning
Daniel reads Jeremiah, repents and pleads for God’s mercy
In prayer Daniel learns about the Messiah and last days

Application: Daniel being prominent in worldly power still has a right understanding of his sin and the sin of his people before our Holy God. When do I humble myself with a right understanding of my sin and the sin of my people before our Holy God? How does my time get spent in trying to understand scriptures, in prayer to God or researching commentaries? What does this say about my faith in God's ability to communicate truth to me?
