God helps you commit your life to Christ

Romans 10:9-13;3:20;John 6:37,40,44-47;Isaiah 55:6-7;Psalm 37:3-7;Ezekiel 36:26-27; 2 Peter 3:9,18; Matthew 10:32, 38-42; 2 Timothy 1:12

A) The promises of God, through faith in his Son Jesus Christ are available to you who confess, believe and repent.
Romans 10:9-13 - The Promise of salvation depends on you openly declaring "Jesus is Lord" and believing in your heart God raised him from the dead. Because believing in your heart you are made right with God and openly declaring your faith you are saved. Trust in him and you won't be disgraced (Isaiah 28:16) - God is generous to all who call on him. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Joel 2:32)

Romans 3:20 - No one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands, the law simply shows us how sinful we are.

John 6:37,40,44-47 - The Father of Jesus, has given us to Jesus, Jesus will accept all of us who look to the Son and believes in him. We will have eternal life, raised up by Christ Jesus on the last day. It is the Father who draws us as the prophet Isaiah said "They will all be taught by God" (Isaiah 54:13). Truly the one who believes has eternal life.

B) Repentance is seeking and trusting the Holy, Creator, Lord of heaven and earth in everything we do.
Isaiah 55:6-7 - Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them and turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.

Psalm 37:3-7 Trust in the Lord and do good, delight in the Lord, commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him and he will help you. Be a light for all to see and be still in the presence of the Lord, waiting patiently for him to act. Don't worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 - God has promised a new heart, a new spirit inside you. He'll take out the stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. Indeed He will put His Spirit in you so that you follow his Word in obedience.

2 Peter 3:9 - The Lord isn't slow in keeping his promises, he is patient for your sake, not wanting anyone to be destroyed but wants everyone to repent.

C) Committing your life to Christ will result in growth, public witness and perseverance.
2 Peter 3:18 - You must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, all glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.

Matthew 10:32, 38-42 - Everyone who publicly acknowledges Jesus on earth, will be acknowledged by Jesus before his Father in heaven. This means that you give your life completely to the Lord daily (take up your cross and follow Him).

2 Timothy 1:12 - Apostle Paul suffered in prison, unashamed because, "I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I've committed unto him against that day." (D. W. Wittle)
