Interesting I was reading Isaac Newton's writings on Prophecy which made me think about 1 Samuel (which I have yet to study in detail). I came across an interesting phrase that led me to explore Saul and the Spirit of the Lord.

What we know about Saul
- Head and shoulders above the rest
- Ultra-talented, anointed by God
Saul and the Spirit
Where did he go wrong?
"The Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him." (1 Sam 16:14 NIV)
WOWZA! How did this happen? I'm currently studying Romans 9-11 and the idea of God's chosen rejecting God and suffering the consequence is on my mind. What can we learn from history so that we don't fall into the same troubling pattern of others?http://biblehub.com/1_samuel/16-14.htm
