God's hierarchy provides righteous freedom to lovingly serve (Romans 13:1-7)

Romans 13:1-7
AIM: How we treat people on earth is directly proportionate to the way we view God's eternal kingdom
A) God's hierarchy
1) everyone subject to governing authorities God established
2) rebels against the authority is against God
B) Righteous freedom
3) Doing right frees us from fear of rulers, brings commendation
 - Joseph, Daniel and friends (Dan 3:12-15,16,17,18,19-29,30 6:1-28), Paul and apostles in prison(Acts 5:17-19-20,21-28,29)
4) One in authority is God's servant for your good, bear sword for a reason God's wrath for wrong-doer
 - Tests of faith and corrective discipline
5) Submit, avoid punishment and obey conscience
Principle:  Doing the right thing even when faced with adversary will lead to divine protection and deliverance
C) To lovingly serve
6) pay taxes, authorities God's servant giving full time to governing
 - Jesus sees our duplicity (deceitfulness, dishonesty) in holding back taxes (Luke 20:22-25)
7) Give to everyone what is owed (tax, revenue, respect, honor)
 - Father mother (Ex 20;20)
 - Old people (Lev 19:32)
 - elders especially preaching/teaching (1 Tim 5:17)
 - God (1 tim 6:15-16)
 - Every human authority (1 Peter 2:13-17)
Principle: Jesus life demonstrates loving service for all humanity
