And so here I am, preaching and writing about things that are way over my head, the inexhaustible riches and generosity of Christ. My task is to bring out in the open and make plain what God, who created all this in the first place, has been doing in secret and behind the scenes all along. Through followers of Jesus like yourselves gathered in churches, this extraordinary plan of God is becoming known and talked about even among the angels!
2 Peter 1:3-4 Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. The best invitation we ever received! We were also given absolutely terrific promises to pass on to you—your tickets to participation in the life of God after you turned your back on a world corrupted by lust.

But Grace is not a one-time thing, it's continual. I was Paul's desire as he wrote to those who were already believers: The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you (all epistles)
Mercy (the other side of grace) redefined by the Cross of Christ:
Romans 6:1-2, grace not for sin/disobedience
Gal 5:19-20 MSG big list I could go on, living in sin presumptuously – not going to inherit the kingdom of heaven
Think of knowing how to invest and the time value of money…. yet not doing it - the knowledge is made useless.

- 70 times 7, 490 = tamim (hebrew) = complete perfect or finished, Lemech didn't get it (70 times 7 REVENGE). Jesus said 70 times 7 Forgive (Matthew 18:21-22).
- If you can’t forgive you’ll always live imperfect, 1 Kings 8:61 – heart perfection
- Nativity and Bethlehem in Hebrew = 490
- It is finished
