Jesus mission to ransom us and our mission to tell others of him

Then Jesus began to tell them that the Son of Man must suffer many terrible things and be rejected by the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but three days later he would rise from the dead.

Jesus knew why he was here. He knew what it would cost. He knew his purpose, not to be served, but to serve and give his life as ransom for many. He knows what will happen to his followers. He told us to tell about him when brought before the rulers.
