When we die we are present with the Lord.
- We are souls with bodies
- Soul is the essence of who we are
Resurection give great confidence
- But God released him from the horrors of death and raised him back to life, for death could not keep him in its grip. Acts 2:24 NLT
- God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!” Acts 2:36 NLT
- We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. Romans 6:9 NLT
When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God. So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. Romans 6:10-11 NLT
The resurection should keep us from "playing it safe"
- when do I risk my life?
- fearlessness
When you put your faith in Jesus you will never be put to shame.
