True faith is seen in how we treat people (James 2:25, 1 John 4:20)

Reading BeMature he relates James 2 with 1 John 4:20.

If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? -  1 John 4:20

So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone. James 2:25

 For in Christ Jesus ... the only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. Gal 5:6 NIV

 My neighbor is about opportunity not geography (James 2:1-13) and next section expands on believing is doing. The Message says, "a person is made right with God not by a barren faith but by faith fruitful in works"
