Alpha Prayer June 29

Theme: pray for our church leaders and congregations to become aware of Alpha and put it into practice.
Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. -  Galatians 6:2
 - Lord we know your burden is light, we yoke ourselves to you and ask for your wisdom tonight as we pray
 - Lord inspire your people to reach out to each other and ask how we can bear one another's burdens in love.

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.  1 Thessalonians 5:11
 - Lord bring church leaders and their congregation together as one team, leading in your cause. Give us a heart of service and welcome as we lead in Alpha.
 - Help us encourage participation with active listening and enthusiasm.

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.  John 15:12
 - Lord, thank you for loving me. As you've filled us with your love let us pour your love on everyone in our Alpha groups.

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.  Hebrews 13:16
 - Lord, make every part of our Alpha gatherings be pleasing to you. May you be glorified in everything we share.

Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.  Romans 15:7
   - Lord, give us the wisdom to reach out to everyone who is missing from our Alpha and invite them back. Give us eyes that see those missing and a welcoming spirit as we reach out to them.

Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.  Philippians 2:4
- Lord, we ask you to bring funding for Alpha Twin Cities. Help us to know what is needed to bring Alpha into churches, homes, apartments, schools, prisons, and treatment centers. Give us the wisdom to ask, invite, and inspire the generosity of your people.
 - Lord, call your people to build Alpha communities. To build bridges across racial, social, geographic, and economic divides, to your glory.
