Preparing for BSF this year, I was looking at the pamphlet "Am I Sure?" - your steps to assurance regarding your relationship with Jesus Christ. It's a good question with good followup questions.
- What is a Christian? How do I receive eternal life? ow do I know I am saved? What will happen tome if I do not 'receive Christ'?
- Do you want to be sure of your relationship with Jesus? Take your Bible to a place where you can be alone. Ask God to reveal Himself to you in His Word.
Consider Him
- The Love of God: John 3:16-21
- The Gift of Faith: Ephesians 2:8-9
- The Cross of Reconcilation: Colossians 1:21-22, 2 Corinthians 5:18-20
Confess to Him
- God made you, God keeps you: Psalm 100:3; Acts 17:24-31
- Admit to God your are a sinner: Romans 3:10-12, 20, 23; James 2:10
- Confess your specific sin: Psalm 139:23-24; 1 John 1:8-10
Believe Him
- Jesus, Son of God died for you: Isaiah 53:5-6; John 5:24; Romans 5:8-9; 1 Peter 2:24
- Jesus is the only way to have restored relationship with God: John 3:16-18; 14:6; Acts 4:12
- Jesus rose from the dead: Acts 1:9-10; 2:22-24, 36; Romans 6:4; Ephesians 2:1-10
Receive Him
- Today is the day for you to receive or reject Life: Hebrews 4:6-13
