Promised land is the Spirit-filled life, not heaven

Enjoyed great Bible Teaching at Calvary Baptist. A lay teacher in Sunday School gave this talk and these are my notes:

In heaven, we won't have battles but in the promised land we do.

 - battles, not fed feed yourself. Grow up

Gen 46:33, Edomit should have shown brotherly love. Psalm 137:7

God's blessing and promises remain for Essa

Do not bother them, for I have given them all the hill country around Mount Seir as their property, and I will not give you even one square foot of their land.

Deuteronomy 2:5 NLT

Buy what you need from them, don't take it. Deuteronomy 2:6

Numbers 20:18, they wouldn't let them through.

God sets time and boundaries.

The descendants of Esau who live in Seir allowed us to go through their country, and so did the Moabites, who live in Ar. Let us pass through until we cross the Jordan into the land the Lord our God is giving us.’ Deuteronomy 2:29 NLT

God goes ahead and gets ready we move forward in his clear promise. We get many clear "No" before we hear "yes"

Moses continued, “Then the Lord said, ‘Now get moving! Cross the Arnon Gorge. Look, I will hand over to you Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and I will give you his land. Attack him and begin to occupy the land. Deuteronomy 2:24 NLT

 - Joshua 2:24 - Jericho, Rahab (harlot believer). GOD prepared the way. All feared them because of God's faithfulness.

God precedes those who follow His Way.

 - God hardening hearts is just confirming what is already there. Romans 3, handed them over to there own depravity.
