Getting rest in Christ (Upperroom Sundays at 9pm)

Take my yoke, learn from me and you will find rest for your souls.

"it is complete" on the seventh day, God rested (Gen 2). God made it holy. Sabbath rest is about sanctification. He rested not because he was tired, but because it was complete. Doesn't say evening and morning because it was completed, finished - forever - the whole story, now - us.

Gen 2:1-3) So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed. On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation.

What about the gospel? Jesus said, the son of man has no place to lay his head Luke 9:58

"it is finished" John 19, Jesus rested his head

John 19:30-31) When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished.” And bowing His head, He yielded up His spirit. 31It was the day of Preparation, and the next day was a High Sabbath. In order that the bodies would not remain on the cross during the Sabbath

Same word for "Lay" in Luke 9 as "bowing" in John 19
