Storms of correction (Jonah) and storms of perfection (disciples) Matthew 14:22-33

Enjoying BSF and Wiersbe Be Loyal (Matthew)

not smooth sailing, but tribulation (John 16:33)

"He is praying for me" (Rom 8:34, Heb 4:14-16)

Wiersbe: If you knew that Jesus Christ was in the next room, praying for you, would it not give you new courage to endure the storm and do His will?

"He will come to me" - life is difficult and despairing (2 cor 1:8) but God comes to us in the storm (Isa 43:2). Faith, not fear

"He will help me grow" - cry out when your "beginning to sink" not when your drowning.

perhaps Peter remembered, "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers" 1 Peter 3:12

"He will see me through" (Heb 12:2)

Faith remembers.

Feed five thousand and enter a storm, later win five thousand (Acts 4:4), the storm of persecution began.

Jesus endured the storm for us that we might never face condemnation from God (Ps 42:7)
