- do not be afraid is a theme in the Bible, God is with us (Deut 20:1-3), our shield and reward (Gen 15:1), he hears us (Gen 21:17), with us, will bless us (Gen 26:24), our father (Gen 46:3), deliverer (Ex 14:13), testing, fear of God, kept from sinning (Ex 20:20), with us (Num 14:9), impartial wise judgment (Deut 1:17), giver of land (Deut 1:21,29), conquerer (Deut 3:2,22), powerful history (Deut 7:18), goes with us, never leave or forsake (Deut 31:6,8), with us wherever we go (Joshua 1:9), victorious (Joshua 8:1,10:8,25,11:6), savior (Judges 6:23), redeemer (1 Sam 12:20) with us (2 Kings 1:15) true word (2 Kings 19:6), blessed servant in a hostile environment (2 Kings 25:24)
