Reconciliation is a wonderful new relationship with God (Romans 5:1-11)

Romans 5 is a wonderful chapter explaining the work and impact of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. I enjoy the NLT version of the Bible but was struck by how it reads Romans 5:11, I first learned this verse via NIV:

Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. NIV

So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God. NLT

Reconciliation: A key event and theological concept in this verse, reconciliation refers to the restoration of the relationship between God and humanity through Jesus.
