Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, LORD. Psalm 89:15
My biggest takeaway from Revelation study was the Revelation of the church, a kingdom of priests (Rev 1:6, 5:10, 22:5-6). I'm enjoying living in the light of the presence of God, glowing with others as we worship the Lord together.
... Come with me! I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
So he took me in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and he showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. It shone with the glory of God... (Rev 21:9-11)
And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, because the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its lamp. / By its light the nations will walk, and into it the kings of the earth will bring their glory. (Rev 21:23-24)
Its gates will never be closed at the end of day because there is no night there. And all the nations will bring their glory and honor into the city. Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Rev 21:25-27)
...the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. (Rev 22:1-3)
Aperson (bride, wife), an illuminated city.
- by its light nations walk (in the year of our Lord, education, healthcare...)
- all nations glory and honor (without shameful idolatry and dishonesty)
a name, written in the Lamb's Book of Life
Jesus is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29)
- Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
- Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. Isaiah 60:1
The Lamb who gave up his blood for us
- But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7
We walk in the Light of Jesus with faith, becoming sons of light.
- Then Jesus told them, “For a little while longer, the Light will be among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. / While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of light.” After Jesus had spoken these things, He went away and was hidden from them. John 12:35-36
