We need people to succeed in the Christian life.
- Tychicus. Brother, faithful minister (decon), encourages people.
- Epaphras. Servant of Christ, struggle in prayer for the people of God, for maturity i.e. fully assured in all the will of God. Hard working (12)
Jewish converts, fellow workers
- Justice,
- Aristarchus. Fellow prisoners
- Luke. Beloved, with Paul in the end (See Timothy)
- Luke. Beloved, with Paul in the end (See Timothy)
- Mark. Former companion, Barnabas means encourages. Welcome Mark even though they had a falling out. Paul didn't write him off.
- Onesimus. One of you, former slave of Philemon.
Overwhelm by your past? Preach the gospel to yourself, your heart. Learn from your past and grow, praying for eventual usefulness.
, don't fall in love with the world... You'll experience pain with people but it's worth it. Jesus had the Pharisees, sadducees and Judas.
Col 4:18, remember my chains. Why? Suffering well makes theGospell heard.
- in relationship with Jesus, for his sake.
- prepare your heart for pain, it's coming
- you need Grace with you Col 1:2.
- to fully grasp the Grace given in Jesus Christ
- be amazed by the Grace of the gospel of Jesus. The gospel changes everything.
