Love is not resentful

It is not rude; it is not self-seeking,
it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered];
- not irritable

it does not take into account a wrong endured.
1 CORINTHIANS 13:5‭

God is love, therefore God is not irritable or resentful, we are called to love God, therefore we are not to be irritable or resentful with God.
- God is slow to anger abounding in love
- Jonah 4:1-2, fact that God was slow to anger made Jonah angry.
- God is only one with righteous anger against sin
  - He's not like us, 5totally forgives us, Psalm 103:11-12
- Christianity is trading all our sin for all his righteousness. John 3:16-21. Believe God. 1 Cor 15

It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.
1 Corinthians 13:5 NLT

Are you angry with God? Demons want this. Holding a grudge is closer to hate. Demons want you to hate God and blame him.
-Judge God based on the promised end, not the painful middle. Watch the whole movie, see the big picture.

So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.

An angry person starts fights; a hot-tempered person commits all kinds of sin.

Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.
James 1:19‭-‬21 NLT

Anger in our heart is a warning light on our heart's dashboard, sometimes our family is the warning light.
- what to do? Repent to God, apologize "it was not your fault I yelled at you"
  - ask God to show us the root, Hebrews 12

Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.
Hebrews 12:14‭-‬15 NLT

- New year, new heart on Grace.church
- Proverbs 15:1, a gentle words stir away wrath.
- Proverbs 18:19, don't rescue an angry person.
- ask God for a compassionate heart towards them. Hurt people hurt people.
