In the session how to help people in your group grow spiritually, Chip has these three things every Christian must practice every day
Come before God daily
- Getting to know God and loving him more deeply (Matt 22:38)
- My most important job as a leader is to help every person in my group develop the practice of meeting with God on a daily basis
- 2 Tim 3:16-17, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work
Be in Community weekly
- Experience community by living out the one another in scripture
Be on Mission 24/7
- loving and serving those around us
- is our group inward focused or outward focused
- if we are only inward focused we may have lost sight of the other 4 relationships that are in Romans 12 (God, the world, self, believers, unbelievers)
- we need to be intentionally missional, to serve those outside the group
