Among the weeds of my heart with the Master Gardener

John 15, Matt 5 if eye or hand causes sin - cut it out.

Gluttony the desire for more, excessively "over-doing it" in every category in life.
Lust: protect my eyes, keep me sensitive to the shock of loose sexuality pervasive in our culture.

The problem with trying to look better than we are is that we Carry God's name in vain:
I noticed in Psalm 139:20 these words. I struggled with the unpardonable sin of Blaspheme the Holy Spirit. Can blasphemy be forgiven?

  • who invoke you deceitfully. Your enemies swear by you falsely. (Christian Standard Bible)
  • They are always rebelling and speaking evil of you. (Contemporary English Version)
  • They say wicked things about you; they speak evil things against your name. (Good News Translation)
  • who invoke You deceitfully. Your enemies swear by You falsely. (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
  • who speak against you with evil motives, your enemies who are acting in vain. (International Standard Version)

Sin Types: Iniquity, Transgression-trespass, Apostasy-backsliding
10 types of people, those who understand binary and those who don't

2 Corinthians 6 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain— for He says,
“At the acceptable time I listened to you,
And on the day of salvation I helped you.”
Behold, now is “the acceptable time,” behold, now is “the day of salvation”— giving no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited, but in everything commending ourselves as servants of God, in much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses, in beatings, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in hunger, in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in genuine love, in the word of truth, in the power of God; by the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left, by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report; regarded as deceivers and yet true; as unknown yet well-known, as dying yet behold, we live; as punished yet not put to death, as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing yet possessing all things.
