Jesus essentially taught us "By your love people will know you are my Disciple and it will God working in you, because of the cross, the resurrection, and the Holy Spirit" John 13-17
Having completed a course with Strategic Renewal, my new friend sent me this video Godspeed: The Pace of Being Known. When he talked about Jesus he shocked me with the statement, "What comes to mind when you think about Jesus?" Then he said "Relaxed"
- Avoid the quest for shallow novelty
- Risk being known by others
- Know another person and be known (like BSF)
- Names are the life-giving, connecting words
- "Three mile an hour God" (we walk at 3 miles an hour and are made in God's image)
We should slow down to catch up with God, if we slow down and let Him know us and other people know us too.
