Death fulfills a promise of God (Genesis 2:17)

Just wrapping up my BSF study of Genesis where we see the beginning, yet through the family is never-ending and relational. Our lives and choices make a difference and matter to God. God creates everything , Father of humanity - a never-ending relationship (Genesis)

In our lesson 12.a) asks, What does scripture reveal about death? John 5:24; 8:24; Romans 6:23; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Hebrews 9:27

...whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life... I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins - John 5:24; 8:24

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord -  Romans 6:23

...in death...do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words. - 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment - Hebrews 9:27
