52 Bible verses everyone should know

At the airport, yesterday I saw this book with a list of verses for the chapter. I thought what a fun test to see if I knew these verses before looking into it. Single Bible verses are great but grouped together in context is so much fuller and read them with other versions. I like Bible Gateway parallel reading and then bounce into "read full chapter". 



28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden (carry heavy burdens), and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
25 At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; 26 yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. 27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Childlike faith, hiding behind dads leg. Prayer is intimacy with God that leads to the fulfillment of His purpose


Philippians 4:6
6 do not be anxious (worried) about anything, but (or instead) in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.
