Working for the Lord who gives strength and wisdom to do what is right

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. - Colossians 3:23-24

  • And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. - Colossians 3:17
  • ...be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.  -2 Timothy 2:1-4

You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day. - Deuteronomy 8:18

  • “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. - Matthew 6:24
  • But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. - 1 Timothy 5:8

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. - Matthew 6:33

  • Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. - Psalm 127:1

The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will. People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart. The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just... Haughty eyes, a proud heart, and evil actions are all sin. Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty. Wealth created by a lying tongue is a vanishing mist and a deadly trap - Proverbs 21:1-6

Proverbs 21:25 Despite their desires, the lazy will come to ruin, for their hands refuse to work.

Lately I've had many desires but found myself caught up in a pattern of spinning. Always learning but not taking the next action necessary for success. With the Lord's help I'll take action, schedule the meetings, have the conversations and follow through on commitments.
