Change my thinking (Psalm 42:1-5)
- 1-3) long for, thirst for God, the living God - tears day and night (blessed are those who mourn, they will be comforted Matt 5:3-5).
- - Tears that go into your mouth, SALT - Taste and be comforted,
- 4) Heart breaking remembering wonders of worship, joy, thanksgiving, celebration
- 5) Why discouraged, heart so sad? I WILL PUT MY HOPE IN GOD! Praise him again, my Savior, my God!
Change my theology (Psalm 42:6-11)
- 6-8) Currently discouraged, but remember God. Lost at sea, but each day LORD pours unfailing love upon me, sing his songs, praying to God who gives life
- 9-10) Feeling forgotten, wandering grief, oppressed.
- 11) Why discouraged, heart sad? I WILL PUT MY HOPE IN GOD! Praise him again, my Savior, my God!
Change my view of my tormentors (Psalm 43:1-5)
- 1-2) God declares me innocent, defends and rescues, God is my only safe haven. Why wander in grief, oppressed?
- 3) Send out your light and your truth, let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, the place where you live (Hebrews 11-12)
- 4) There I will go to the altar of God, to God-the source of all my joy. I will praise you with my harp, O God, my God!
