A friend once said, "Build a bridge and get over it", over the years I've been working on putting my core values into practice and remembering why I do what I do. What drives me is to take people from present to possible. Lead first, manage second. Leadership from the IBDs leaders and success page says, "how you think is everything". I agree.
I remember this picture when asked to consult on a simple problem to a billion dollar problem. Identify the desire and deliver it within the context of the business. What we deliver should always increase capability while reducing risk and time, with the quality of rocket science. Deliver a process that can't fail.
