Matthew 22:37, Jesus says, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’... v39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
To love God is to take pleasure in, long for him. It denotes holding him in esteem from a place of reasonable judgment or understanding. Jesus emphasizes that we do this with all our heart, soul, and mind. That is our thoughts, feelings, spirit and inner-most person. We demonstrate this love with people.
