A) God’s multi-generational plan of redemption includes Moses first 40 years

(Exodus 1-2:10) Moses is kept by Pharaoh's daughter in spite of murderous oppression of Egyptians

(2:11-25) Moses sympathetic actions have contrasting, life changing consequences

(3-4) God graciously calls and equips Moses to return to Egypt, to deliver Israel

(5-6) Pharaoh’s first rejection concludes with Moses understanding God’s plan

Application: Do I see God working through generations and his life saving providence in my generation? How can I follow Moses in understanding God’s plan?

B) Egypt’s sin of preventing God’s people from worship leads to death and ruin

(6:28-10:29) Pharaoh’s self-destructive pride leaves Egypt in ruins

(11-15:21) Lord's Passover established, firstborn die and prophetic song marks Israel's freedom from Egypt

Application: How is pride causing me to miss God’s instruction? How is the passover synonymous to Jesus Christ and my personal response?

C) God reveals more of His character, provision and presents with Israel

(15:22-18:27) God blesses Israelites with Manna, Quale, water, victory and leadership

(19-20) Consecrated Israelites receive God’s law governing relationships

(21-24) God provides his covenant laws governing his Holy people

(25-31) God shows Moses His dwelling place and requirements for holy use

(32:33:6) Golden Calf worship, breaks God’s law and reveals His mercy

(33:7-34:35) God reproduces 10 commandments, reveals himself and covenant conditions

(35-40) Tabernacle is built and God guides his people day and night

Application: What part of my life do I spend in the joy of God’s grace and where am I just getting by covered by God’s mercy? What does God require of me to experience his presents?
