Prayer and fasting bridge heaven and earth (Acts)

Believers all met together constantly united in prayer, asking God for guidance (Acts 1:14,24)
Believers devotion to learning and prayer results in a vibrant, welcoming community (Acts 2:42,43-47)
Ministry happens on the way to prayer with friends (Acts 3:1,4-6)

God's glory through prophetic truth, bold preaching, and miraculous healing
Acts 4:24-31) Sovereign, Lord, Creator (Isaiah 45:12, 51:16), Psalm 2:1-2 - fulfilled in Jesus
 - Threatened to be silenced they asked for great boldness in preaching the word
 - Threatened not to heal in Jesus name, asked for a stretched hand with the healing power in the name of Jesus
 - Result: the meeting place shook and they were ALL filled with the Holy Spirit, preached the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:31, John 21:18

During a time of great growth and needs, the apostles devoted themselves to prayer and ministry of the word Acts 6:4
 - Prayer and physically touching people - Acts 6:6

Jesus-Stephen-Saul
Stephen last words were bold and loud prayers of intercession and forgiveness for his murders - Acts 7:58-60
 - Result: Look at the life of Saul. He authored Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Thessalonians, Timothy, Titus

Prayers at arrival, for new believers to receive the Holy Spirit - Acts 8:15
 - They were Philip's "church people" baptized in the name of Jesus but not "born-again"- Acts 8:16
 - Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit - Acts 8:17

Jesus-Ananias-Saul
The Lord gives very specific personal revelation to Ananias and Saul about each other - Acts 9:10-12
 - Result: healing, restoration, and vibrant ministry.
Jesus-Barnabas-Saul-Apostles

 - Peter on his knees, prays and Tabitha is raised from the dead - Acts 9:40

Devout, God-fearing, generous prayer-filled family is ready for new birth - Acts 10:2
 - The Lord gives very specific personal revelation to Cornelius and Peter about each other - Acts 10:2-4,9,30-31; Acts 11:5

Impossible circumstances overcome to free believers from prison - Acts 12:5,12

Prayer and fasting build the church - Acts 12:3, 14:23
